Jason Dispenza '00

Jason Dispenza is the CEO of EDGE Energy, a leader in the renewable energy sector recognized for its sustained excellence with multiple ENERGY STAR awards. An alumnus of TJHSST and the University of Virginia, Jason holds degrees in chemistry and economics, which fuel his passion for sustainable community development and STEM education.

Jason serves on several boards, including educational and community-focused nonprofits, leveraging his expertise to enhance STEM resources and opportunities. His vision for the TJ Partnership Fund is to expand access to advanced educational tools and foster a culture of innovation and inquiry among students.

Quan Doan '99

Commander / Chief Staff Officer / United States Navy

Board Director since: 2024

Quan is a proud graduate of the Class of '99, where he excelled in the biological sciences and on the swim team. His senior project was a mentorship at the Naval Medical Research Center in Bethesda, where he worked on a DNA vaccine for malaria.

He completed his Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Virginia in 2003 and was commissioned into the United States Navy, where he still serves today. He has his Master's in Strategic Studies from the Army War College, and his Executive MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Quan is looking forward to serving on the Partnership Fund Board to contribute back to the school and community that helped him find himself.

Casey Enders '08

Lead Strategist, Resolve Inc.

Casey owns four small businesses in the greater Washington, D.C., area and serves as a Consultant to the Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives team at Pivotal Ventures. She previously served as the founder and lead strategist of her own management consultancy (Resolve, Inc.) and CEO of Unlocking Potential, a nonprofit dedicated to delivering professional development to social sector leaders. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, as well as TJHSST (2008) and currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and two kids.

Angela Hobart '07

Head of Strategic Finance, Octopus Energy

Angela is a 2007 graduate of TJ now living and working in London in climate tech. She recalls her days in the Oceanography lab fondly every time she scuba dives - and now finds herself working at a company called Octopus Energy! She is grateful for the role that TJ played in fostering her own lifelong academic curiosity as well as its excellence in promoting STEM knowledge and careers for students, especially those who are not usually represented in these fields today.

Maggy Li P'26

HR Program Director, Chidren's National Hospital

Maggy is the current TJ PTSA's VP of Communications with a 11th grader son at TJ. Professionally she is the HR Program Director at Children's National Hospital. Maggy loves the energy and enthusiasm she has seen in the TJ community and would like to engage in a role that could utilize her knowledge, skills and expertise to contribute more to the TJ community. Maggy is honored to serve on the Board of TJ Partnership Fund and has a vision to help strengthen the connection between our talented TJ students and STEM leaders in business world so that they get more practical learning opportunities through guest lectures, externships and internships.

Dedo Liang '94

Executive Director for Transition Finance and Metals & Mining at Standard Chartered Bank

Director since: 2023

Dedo has over 15 years of finance experience and was previously a Vice President in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley in New York, Hong Kong, and Singapore. He is honored to serve the Partnership Fund because of the incredible opportunity TJHSST provides its students as it did for him (’94) and his siblings (’92 and ’97). Dedo earned a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from Cornell University and currently resides in Singapore.

Manish Malhotra P'26

Chief Executive Officer, Unissant, Inc.

Manish is passionately committed to the TJ Partnership Fund Board because he strongly believes in the power of giving back to the community. As a successful business owner, he recognizes the importance of investing in the future of young people. Manish sees an opportunity to empower the next generation of leaders and innovators through the TJ Partnership Fund. His dedication to community service is evident in his efforts to organize volunteer events and promote collaboration between local businesses and non-profit organizations.

Serving on the TJ Partnership Fund Board is not just a responsibility for Manish but a privilege. Additionally, he has valuable experience serving on the boards of not-for-profit organizations such as TiE-DC (The Indus Entrepreneurs), the Center of Innovative Technologies (CIT), and the Virginia Investment Authority (IEAI).

Tim Reichart '03

Elliott Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Hampden-Sydney College

Board Director since: 2024

Tim is a 2003 TJ graduate who credits TJ with igniting his love of chemistry. He went on to study chemistry at the University of Virginia and the Scripps Research Institute. He pursued postdoctoral research in Massachusetts and in Switzerland before starting his current position as an assistant professor at Hampden-Sydney College, a small liberal arts college in central Virginia. A brand-new member of the board, Tim looks forward to helping the TJ Partnership Fund help support the current generation of TJ students as they discover what they are passionate about.
